本来ならワンダーフェスティバル2011年［冬］に参加するために今頃日本にいるはずなのですが、最近、米国で大雪による大混乱が生じ（国の約半分が埋もれております）、今回はパスすることになってしまいました。	Normally, I should be in Japan by now to attend Wonder Festival 2011 [Winter], but due to the debacles caused by the recent snowstorms in the US, about half of which has been buried, I'll have to pass this time.
毎回のようにディーラーやマシーネンファンの皆さんにご挨拶できなくて残念ですが、次回またお会いできることを楽しみにしております。	It is unfortunate that I cannot come say hello to the dealers and the Maschinen fans as usual, but I am looking forward to meeting with everyone again next time.
今年もマシーネンは非常に忙しくなりそうですし、大いに楽しみましょうね！	It looks like this year is also going to be extremely busy for Maschinen, so let's start it jubilantly!

来日の様子 / Glimpse of my Visit in Japan

現在来日中で、毎日のように写真をアップしております。そのうちレポにでも使おうかと思います。	I am currently visiting Japan, and am uploading pictures almost daily. At some point, I'd like to use them to write up a few reports.

ここ3年間参加しているIDEAT VILLAGEのORBIT ART GALLERYで撮った写真をオンライン・ギャラリーに入れてみました。	I have placed pictures taken at the ORBIT ART GALLERY at IDEAT VILLAGE, which I have been participating to for the past 3 years, and placed them in an online gallery.

10年以上もオンライン・ホームとして世話になったジオシティーズから引っ越すことになりました。残念。

With pressure to abandon Geocities mounting, I had no choice but to move out of what has been my online home for over a decade, sadly.

確か去年。近所に駐車してありました。オーナが丁度近くにいたので撮影させていただきました。

I believe it was last year. Parked in the neighborhood. The owner was right nearby so asked permission for a shot.

ワンダーフェスティバル 2007［冬］行き / Going to WONDER FESTIVAL 2007 [WINTER]

さて、色々な障害物となっていた難点をやっと乗り越えられましたので、次回のワンダーフェスティバルに行けます！	So, since I finally managed to clear various hurdles that were in the way, I can go to the next Wonder Festival!
あと２週間ですね！また日本のマシネラーに会えると思うと、それはもう楽しみで楽しみで！	Another two weeks to go! I am so excited and looking forward to meeting again Maschinellers from Japan!
皆さんと一緒に人込みに混ざってマシーネンのキットを巡っているか、国際水平山崎生徒クラブの卓でお手伝いしているはずです（商品の発表はここで更新されます）。何れにしても、会場で上の写真の様な者を見かけたら、是非一声かけてみてください！	I should be either mixed with everybody in the crowd going around looking for Maschinen kits, or helping the table for The International Horizontal Yamasaki Student Club (product announcements are updated here). In any case, if you see an individual looking like the one in the photo above, don't hesitate to say hi!
で、この写真ですが、ナイトクラブであるゴッサム・シティで毎週やっているフラックスという、よく行くイベントで、お友達のシンシアさんに撮影して頂いたものです。ちょっと暗いかな？って感じですが、少しばかりガンマ補正すると何やら見えて来るものも有ったりします。	About this picture, it was taken by a friend of mine, Cynthia, at an event where I often go to, called FLUX, which takes place weekly in a nightclub called GOTHAM CITI. One might feel, "isn't it a bit too dark?", but if a little gamma correction is applied, some stuff that one can begin to see happen to be there.
実は、シンシアさんは、イヴリーヌとしても知られておりまして、写真家だけではなく、画家、モデル、音楽家（作曲家、ボーカリスト、ギタリストとして）だったりもします。すごいでしょ、彼女？！？！	In fact, Cynthia, a.k.a Yveline, happens to be not only a photographer, but also a graphic artist, a model and a musician (as a composer, vocalist and guitarist). Amazing, isn't she?!?!
え～っと、話をマシーネンに戻しますと、そのフラックスの数週間前のテーマが、「ブラック・アンド・ホワイト・ナイト」だったので、皆さん白黒の服装して行くことになっておりました。で、偶然にも、持っていた洋服の中で、唯一その条件を満たせたのが、マシーネン疾患・考古学のT-シャツでした！！！多くのマシーネン・ファンは、既にご存知でしょうが、去年夏に来日して、その様子がARTBOX社出版のモデル・グラフィックスにも載った、ヘビー級マシネラーであるジェイソン・イートンさんが、何人かのマシネラーの案を取込んでデザインしたものですよ。今回は間に合いませんでしたが、今後も計画中ですので、お楽しみに！	Er… getting the subject back to Maschinen, the theme at FLUX few weeks ago was "Black and White Night", so, people were supposed to show up dressed in black and white. Then, call it a coincidence, among the clothes I had, the only one that could fill the conditions was the Maschinen Syndrome/Archaeology T-shirt!!! I am aware that many Maschinen fans know this already, but it was designed by the heavyweight Maschineller Jason Eaton, whose visit to Japan last summer was featured in Model Graphix, published by ARTBOX, by including ideas from a number of Mashinellers. Although too late for this time, more are planned in the future, so stay tuned!

サターン・ロケットF1エンジン / Saturn Rocket F1 Engine

マシーネンにサターン・ロケットのキットが使われていることは、多くのマシネラーが知っていますよね。	Many Maschinellers know that kits of the Saturn Rocket have been used in Maschinen.
このロケットのF1エンジンがそういった部品でありまして、フェルクルやケルベロスに使用されております。	The F1 engines of this rocket are such parts, and were used in the Ferkel and Cerberus/Kerberos.
自分はかなり前に購入したのですが、このF1エンジンのキットというものが存在します。	Although I purchased it quite some time ago, a kit of this F1 engine exists.
超精密です！何せ1/20のスケールですので大きいです！	Hyper detailed! No matter what, at 1/20, it is huge!
ちょっとしたレビューがここにありました。	I found a small review here.
え？これでケルベロスを作れって？！	What? I have to build Cerberus with this?!

牧神の迷路 / Pan's Labirynth

昨夜、牧神の迷路（El Laberinto del Fauno）を見てきました。	Last night, I went out to watch Pan's Labirynth (El Laberinto del Fauno).
最終的には孤独感が残ってしまうのですが、久しぶりに感動できた作品です。	Although solitude is ultimately what you are left with, this was for me the most moving piece of work in a long while.
念入りにお勧めです。	Highly recommended.
で、マシーネンに使われた、あのロールス・ロイスが登場しちゃうんです！	And, that Rolls Royce used in Maschinen makes an appearance!
もう見ずにはいられないでしょう？！	Now, I bet you cannot afford to not watching it, can you?!
